Verna McCurley Long was born May 5, 1921 in Hartman, AR to Josiah and Mary Pennington McCurley. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 17, 2013. She was married to Harry Long on September 2, 1950 in Fayetteville, AR. To this union were born, Martha Ann, Ellen Kay, Teresa Jan, Alice Dean, Juanita Lynne, Harry Royce Long, Jr., and Jacqueline Lea.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Harry and two daughters, Ellen Kay and Teresa Jan, three brothers, Melvin, Montie and Heartsill McCurley, and three sisters, Nettie McCurley Naramor, Joy McCurley Payne, and Mary Jo McCurley Harris.
She is survived by four daughters, Martha Ann Santos, Alice Dean Tyler, Juanita Lynne Fasse and Jacqueline Lea Curl, one son, Harry Royce Long, Jr., one sister, Cliffie McCurley Nalley, 9 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, in addition to her church family.
She will be sorely missed by all of us.
