Obituary: from the "Shelby County Democrat", Sidney, OH., April 5, 1918

GRAY
Margaret Gray (nee Jackson) was born February 20, 1840 near Botkins, & departed this life March 30, 1918 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Harmon Taylor, at Botkins at the age 73 years 1 month & 10 days. In April 26, 1861 she was united in marriage to John T. Gray & this union was blessed with 8 children, three sons & five daughter, one son Clement Gray & three daughters Elizabeth & Minnie Gray, & Alsoa Yinger preceded her in death. Mr. Gray died January 3, 1912. She united with the M. E. Church at Scott's Chapel when young & always attended services there. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons Edmond, of near Kettlersville, John Gray of Wapakoneta, two daughters Mrs. Clara McCullough, of Washington Township, & Mrs. Harmon Taylor, of Botkins, thirteen grandchildren & one great grandchild, two sisters Mrs. John Roberts, of Wapakoneta, & Mrs. Rachel Keplinger, of Sidney, one brother George Jackson, of Ellenwood, Kansas, besides other relatives & friends. The funeral took place April 1, 1918 at 10 o'clock. Short services were held at the house by Rev. Penguilly pastor of the M. E. Church at Botkins after which the remains were taken to Olive Branch where services were held at the U. B. church & interment was made in the church cemetery.
