Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Frances Carr, 74, were held Monday at 2:00 at her home on Baxter, Rt. 1 with the Rev. Robert DeLozier officiating. Burial was in the Smellage Cemetery.
Mrs. Carr's death occurred at her home Saturday February 8 following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen Newman Leftwich, and was a member of the Methodist Bethany Church.
Survivors are her husband, Julius F. Carr; 6 sons, Bailey O; Cordell;
Lewis Carr, Silver Point, Rt. 1; Olcie Carr, Baxter; Kenneth Carr of
Indianapolis, and Troy Carr of Baxter, Rt. 2; 4 daughters, Mrs. Mary
Sutton of Baxter, Mrs. Martha Prichard, Silver Point, Rt. 1; Mrs. Veda Bell Cowan, Algood, Rt. 2; Mrs. Anna Lowe, Ft. Knox, KY; a brother, Riley Leftwich, Silver Point, Rt. 1; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Moss, Double Springs; Mrs. Vera Cooper of Boma; 33 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
