A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Jolene Dee Johnson, 45, of Heath, will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Dave Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Jolene was born in Newark on December 7, 1967 to the late Julia Kellenbarger. God called Jolene home to be with him on July 23, 2013 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer for five years.
Jolene graduated from high school in 1985, where she participated and traveled the state of California participating in band competitions. She was blessed with a bubbly, outgoing personality and was loved by all she met. She was a good mother to her children and a loving and supporting wife to her husband. She loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of the Heath Church of Christ.
Jolene is survived by her husband of 23 years, Brian Johnson of Heath, whom she married on April 6, 1990; two children, Janaey and Brent of Heath; sister, Tonya (D.J.) Tharp of Heath; brother, Brian (Debi) Kellenberger of Newark; grandparents, Jan and Art Anderson of Thornville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jolene to Ovarian Cancer Alliance. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
