Daughter of Walter J. and Donna (Brooks) Beeman. Her mother died when she was a baby and she was raised by her father and her stepmother Jeanette (Lambert) Beeman. Sister of Cheryl Sue Beeman Ellinwood.

...........

Diane lived five houses up the street from me and I met her when I was four and she eight. Diane walked me to school and home again when I was in kindergarten. She was always my play 'mom' when we played house. When her sister and I used to have a quarrel, Diane would drag us together into the same room and say silly stuff to us until we started giggling and got over being mad at each other. During the rest of my elementary school years she attended a different school, but when I started junior high we again walked together. I always wished that she was MY sister. In the long decades since her passing I can truthfully say that barely a day goes by without my thinking of her...she was truly a special person and a delightful friend.
