Kathleen H. Hess

Age 89, of McMurray, died on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in her home.

She was born on October 3, 1923 in Carnegie, a daughter of the late Andrew Gustav and Rose C (Rausch) Seibel of Carnegie.

Mrs. Hess loved music and was a piano teacher. She enjoyed traveling with friends in her youth and later with her husband and family. She was one of the founding members of St. Benedict the Abbot Parish, where she played the organ and directed the choir for many years.

On June 3, 1961, she married Leo J. Hess (birth; March 5th, 1918), who died on May 6, 1987.

Surviving are her three children: Suzanne Ravasio, Lori Lyle, and Martin Hess; her fifteen grandchildren; three siblings: Bernadette Sentner, Ralph Seibel, and Rose Wuenstel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased are four siblings: Charles Seibel, Dorothy Bauer, Mary Lou Wirth, and Leo Seibel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Benedict the Abbot Parish. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
