Clifford Lee Ward, 77, of Elk Knob passed away June 29, 2013 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness.
Born October 25, 1935 at Hix, he was a son of the late Howard William and Macil Carter Ward and was of the Baptist Faith.
Clifford was preceded in death by three brothers, Delford, James and Alfred Ward; three sisters, Geneva and Dorothy Ward and Edith Watts.
He enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 22 years, Lillie Ward of Elk Knob; one sister, Juanita Tickle of Jumping Branch; special sister-in-law and caregiver, Mabel Bennett of Hinton; special friend, Douglas Ayers and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Melvin Wills and Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery at Chestnut Mt. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-9 PM on Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
