Clara Jean Smyser died peacefully July 18, 2013, at her home in Washougal. She was 86.
Clara was born June 19, 1927, in Sheraton, Iowa, to James and Lucy Logsdon. She was a Washougal resident for more than 40 years, and worked as a certified nurse's assistant. she loved her family and enjoyed being a part of raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Laverne Morris of Washougal, Sally Jackson of Jefferson, Ore., Cathy Stark of Miranda, Calif., Rhonda Trent of Independence, Mo., Stacy Tipton of Washougal; sons, Billy Smyser Jr. of Brentwood, Calif., Mike Smyser of Everett, Wash.; 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Smyser; second husband, Paul Smyser; son, Roger Smyser; and daughter, Lovone Espe.
A graveside service was held today at Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.
