Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Eternal Life Church, with Brother Dan Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Wayne was born Monday, December 12, 1938 in Bristol, Connecticut, to Frank J. and Pauline (Goodale) Fleming. Wayne grew up in Sharon, Massachusetts and graduated from Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vermont. Wayne later attended Nasson College in Maine and Fort Lewis College in Colorado. He had lived in Marlow since the early 1990's. Wayne worked as a welder and foreman for Liberty Bit Service. He served his country as part of the United States Army. Wayne was a member of the US Army Biathlon Team while stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. He also had the honor of being a member of the United States Olympic Team during the 1964 Winter Olympic Games held in Innsbruck, Austria. Most importantly, Wayne was a loving and involved "Pee-Paw".
Survivors include,
son; Frank Fleming and wife Mandy of Prescott, Wisconsin,
two daughters; Darcy Fleming of Duncan and Felicia Kuse and husband Ryan of Marlow,
five grandchildren; Nick and Courtney Elroy, Oliver Fleming, America and Kiera Kuse,
two sisters; Janet Haynes of Foxborough, Massachusetts and Sally Watters of Southborough, Massachusetts.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
