Barbara Louisa Clark, daughter of William and Eliza Jane Lee, was born February 16 1867 near Harriettsville, Ohio and departed this life April 12, 1949 at the home of her daughter, Dora Schneeberger, near Macksburg, Ohio, aged 82 years, one month and 27 days.
She was united in marriage with John S Clark June 16, 1884. To this union seven children were born, two of whom, Ethel A Bettinger and Harry, with the husband, have gone before. The following children survive: Walter L Clark, Caldwell, Ohio; Charles Arthur and Earl Clark, Middleburg, Ohio; John Glendon Clark, Bremen, Ohio; Dora Schneeberger, Dexter City, route two, Ohio. There are also 20 grandchildren, 16 great grand-children, one great, great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was the last of her family, having two brothers: Charles H Lee and George Lee, both deceased, of Colorado.
She was a member of the Middleburg M E church for many years. After the death of her husband, 28 years ago, she moved to Dexter City, where she lived until her death.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 from the Middleburg Methodist Church. Rev David Doan of Caldwell officiated, and interment was made in Olive cemetery, Caldwell, by the McVay-Shilling funeral home, Caldwell.
