Arthur was the son of William Campbell and his second wife Mary Jane Campbell. He was a Methodist Episcopal minister, first in Illinois and from about 1910 on, in Wyoming.

He was married to Lulu May Hill and was the father of Thura Campbell Vikturek.

A newspaper article as printed in the Vallejo Chronicle, Vallejo, California, 28 February 1951:

"Reverend, Mrs. A. B. Campbell to Hold Open House on Sunday Afternoon

Reverend and Mrs. Arthur B. Campbell plan to hold an open house at their home, 707 Virginia street, in honor of their 57th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 4. They will be pleased to greet friends during this time.

Arthur B. Campbell and Lulu May Hill were married on March 7, 1894 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Hill, who lived on a farm near McLeansboro, Illinois. At the time of the marriage, Rev. Campbell was a rural school teacher, but in 1897 he entered the ministry of the Methodist Church and served several charges in the Southern Illinois Conference.

In 1910, he and Mrs. Campbell with their five children, came to Wyoming where for many years, they gave their time and efforts to the work of the Methodist Church.

Reverend and Mrs. Campbell came to Vallejo in 1949, so as to be near four of their sons, Orley K. Campbell and Claude E. Campbell reside in Vallejo. A. G. Campbell lives at Rodeo and Earl C. Campbell at Oakland.

In all, they are the parents of 6 sons and one daughter. The other two sons are William Hill Campbell, who lives at Sheridan, Wyoming, and A. B. Campbell, who lives at Richland, Washington. The daughter, Mrs. Edward Vikturek, lives at Powell, Wyoming.

They also have 12 grandchildren, Edward, Arthur, Judith and Allan Campbell of Richland; Mrs. Paul Miller of Powell, Wyoming; Mrs. Carrie Ellen Taylor of Portland, Oregon; James R. and Joan Campbell of Rodeo; James B., Barbara, and William Hill Campbell, J., of Sheridan, and William Phillip Campbell of Portland.

There are also three great grandchildren, Steven Bruce, Edward Francis and Lois Anne Miller of Powell.

Mrs. Campbell will reach her 76th birthday on March 25, (should be 21) and Reverend Campbell will be 77. In 1944, the couple celebrated their 50th anniversary at their home in Wyoming, holding open house for their many friends. Also in 1949, they held open house on their 55th anniversary. This year again they plan an open house, and hope they may greet many old friends from Wyoming as well as California."

I do have his obituary and will post it when I find it again!!
