OLIVER, Gladys Wade, 89, of Richmond, formerly of Buckingham, Va., went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Oliver; and a sister, Mary Ramsey.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon O. Bates (Philip), Judith O. Coe and Lora O. Lynch; son, John Marc Oliver; a sister, Frances W. Falls; a brother, Daniel F. Wade Jr.; grandchildren, Vann Madison, Matthew Bates, Jesse Lynch and Sarah Bates; great-grandchildren, Magnolia and Oliver Madison; and several nieces and nephews, with loving thanks to Carlene for her love and support.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to BBN Radio, P.O. Box 7300, Charlotte, N.C. 28241-7300.
