According to one of his daughters George was never given a middle name. She stated that when he was told he needed one he picked "A".

"George A. Miller of Glendo, Wyoming, father of Frank Miller of Powell, passed away in Glendo on Friday, May 7, at the age of 91 years and six months. Funeral services were held in Our Lady of Lourdes church at Glendo and burial was in Casper.

The son of John and Mary Schutt (Transcriber note: Mary's maiden name should be Schaad) Miller, he was born on November 9, 1862, in Norway, Iowa. He was married in 1881, his wife Mary having died in 1930. Mr. Miller had been a resident of the Glendo area since 1919.

He is survived by four daughters, six sons, 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Included among these are his son, Frank of Powell, a grandson, Paul, and great-grandson Steven Miller, all of Powell."

"Father Charles Zengel, O.F.M. Conv., said the Requiem Mass for George Miller in Our Lady of Lourdes church May 13. Mr. Miller was 91 and passed away in a convalescent home in Wheatland following a long illness.

He was born in Norway, Ia., and has been in and around Glendo since 1919 making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Caroline Taylor since the death of his wife several years ago. The Rosary was said at Wheatland mortuary Wednesday night.

He is survived by six sons, John L., of Stuart, Neb.; J. Lenard of Hot Springs, Ark.; Charles A. of Casper; Frank G. of Powell; William E. and Joe both of Torrington; four daughters, Mrs. Rose Kramer, Glendo; Mrs. Margaret Carstens of Livingston, Mont.; Mrs. Ida Bergan, Glenrock, and Mrs. Caroline Taylor, Glendo; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. His wife and a son preceded him in death."

"Aged Glendo Man Claimed By Death Friday, May 7

George A. Miller, 91, died at a local rest home Friday following an extended illness. A resident of the Glendo area since 1919, Mr. Miller is survived by six sons and four daughters. They are John L., Stuart, Nebr.; J. Leonard, Hot Springs, Ark.; Charles A., Casper; Frank G., Powell; William E. and Joe, Torrington; Mrs. Rose Kramer, Glendo; Mrs. Margaret Carstens, Livingston, Mont.; Mrs. Ida Bergan, Glenrock; and Mrs. Carol Taylor, Glendo. One daughter and one son preceeded him in death. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Rosary services were held at Schraders chapel at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, and funeral services were conducted by Fr. Charles Zengel at Our Lady Lourdes church at Glendo this morning (Thursday). Burial was at Casper. (NOTE: printing error omitted)

Pallbearers were Ralph McClure, Ed Foy Sr., Mathew Wiescholek, Conrad Eller, Lawrence Hytrek and James Morgan.
