Frank's brothers and sisters indicated that his full legal name was George Francis Miller. The record of birth on LDS roll 1035285 lists his name as George A and his father as G. H. Miller. He was commonly referred to as "Frank G. Miller". Most census records record his name as "Frank" except for the 1925 IA State census which has "George F.".

The following story is from Franks younger brother, Joseph:

Frank met Katie through her half brother Henry. Henry and Frank's brother Bill were pen pals (through the Catholic Church). Henry went to work in Schaller, IA (where Frank and Bill were living) and on one of his trips home, he took Frank with him where he met Katie. Frank married Katie and took her back to Schaller, Sac, IA. He farmed for a few years in Schaller and then became a partner with his brother Len in the plumbing business for about a year. He also worked on road construction around Correctionville, IA.

About 1925 they moved from Schaller to Danbury, IA. Then in 1927 they moved to Glenrock, WY and in the fall of 1929 they moved to Casper, WY where he worked for Continental Oil. In the spring of 1930 they moved from Casper to Manderson, WY where he farmed till March 1, 1932. They moved to Basin, Wy on March 1, 1932 and then on 16 Nov 1932 they moved to a farm 6 miles northwest of Powell, WY. In the spring of 1934 they moved to a farm north of the cemetery where they lived until the early 1940s. Frank & Katie then moved to Hardin, MT until 1943 or 44 then returned to Powell, Wy to a place on North St.
