Mother of Zella Viola Howard Cleveland Chambers, Conley 1872-1936; James Grier Cleveland Jr. 1864-1879; Charles Asa Cleveland 1876-1892 (Charlies was adopted by George R. Manby and his wife, Hannah J. Crandall in 1880); and Lucy Adelia Cleveland 1879-1879.

Eliza and two of the children, James Jr. and Lucy died in a house boat fire on Goguac Lake August 8,1879. Husband James was the captain of the steamer, Lew Clark. James Jr. and Lucy are buried with their Mother.
