Elmo M. Nelson, 80, Pleasant Grove, died May 24, 1993 in American Fork.
He was born May 24, 1913 in Bingham Canyon, a son of Melvin Fredrick and Rintha Oldfield Nelson. He married Edith Wagstaff Feb. 28, 1941 in Heber City.
He was a member of the LDS Church living in the Pleasant Grove 11th Ward.
He had been employed at Geneva Steel, retiring in 1972.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of Pleasant Grove; a son and a daughter: Sue Williams, Alpine; E. Jay Nelson, American Fork; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters: Beth Stephens, Ogden; Nola Johnson, Granger; Velma Jones and Velda Bennett, both of American Fork. He was preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers, Gene and Gerald.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 27, at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
