Company F, 11th Georgia Infantry, G.T. Anderson's Brigade, Field's Division, 1st Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.

Residence Gilmer County GA; 40 year-old (36 on 1860 Census) married farmer & miner, 6' 1/2" tall, blue eyes, dark hair, dark complexion.
Enlisted on 7/3/1861 at Atlanta, he was mustered into "F" Co. GA 11th Infantry as a Private.
He was Killed In Action in the Battle of The Wilderness, VA. while on picket duty.
His widow filed a Settlement Claim on 22 Sept 1864.

The 11th Infantry Regiment, organized in the spring of 1861, contained men from Hall, Lee, Fannin, Houston, Gilmer, Murray, Walton, and Quitman counties.
