Paul Johnson, Jr, 81, of Ashland, passed away Monday morning, July 22, 2013 at the Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born March 19, 1932, in Ashland, KY., a son of Paul and Naomi Barber Johnson.

He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he was a member of the Serendipity Sunday School Class, Men's Breakfast Club and the Pace Setters. He was a 1949 graduate of Ashland High School and attended Marshall University. He was a lifetime member of the Ashland Elks BPOE #350, American Legion Post 76, and volunteered at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was a
United States Air Force Korean War veteran and retired after many years of service from AK Steel.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Katherine LeMaster Johnson of Ashland; sons, Michael (Catherine) Johnson of Lexington, David (Tina) Johnson of Ashland and James (Polly) Johnson of Ashland, daughter, Paula (Garry) Sennett of Lexington. brother, Charles Rodney Johnson of Ironton, OH., grandchildren, Megan (Richard) Kern, Max Johnson, Travis Johnson, Brittany Sennett, Lindsie Sennett, Stacie Sennett, Chase Johnson and Brady Johnson, as well as a host of loving extended family members and friends.

Funeral service at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), with the Reverend Dr. Ike Nicholson officiating. Burial in Ashland Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion, Kenova Post #93.
