John was born in the Gilbert family home on December 10, 1915 and died there September 19, 1990. He and V. Charlene Robertson were married March 22, 1940. They had four children: Tom, Phil, Oralee and Rob.
We felt it only appropriate to have John’s burial service at home and that he be taken to the family cemetery in a manner he is accustomed to, on the wagon, drawn by Jiggs and Walt, with Jamie and Philip driving, accompanied by Shadow and Maggie. John’s body will be buried next to Oralee on the ranch and on the land he worked and watched all his life.
