MRS. HENRY A. MAAS, SR.

Services for Mrs. Henry A. Maas, Sr., 88 of El Paso are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church in Lufkin with Dr. W. Morris House officiating and burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Maas was born June 23, 1888, in Lufkin and died Sunday in El Paso after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of pioneer Lufkinites Robert L. Christopher and Ellie Francis McMullen Christopher. Her late husband, Major H. A. Maas, Sr. was associated with the Kurth Lumber interest for many years and retired from Southland Paper Mills.

She had been active in Lufkin's First United Methodist Church for many years. Her husband and her late son, Henry A. Maas, Jr. preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of El Paso and was a member of the church choir.

Survivors: sister, Mrs. Richard W. Mitloff of El Paso; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
