Elizabeth I. "Betty" Boyden (Appleby), of Brockton and formerly Needham passed away on June 9, 2013. Mrs. Boyden was 90 years old.

Betty was the loving wife of the late Albert Boyden. She was the stepmother of Judith Ammon of Citrus Heights, CA. Beloved aunt of Deborah Cash of Wolfeboro Falls, NH, Dennis Appleby of Tucson, AZ and the late John Appleby. Mrs. Boyden was predeceased by her brothers John D. Appleby and Gilford Appleby. Betty leaves behind her dear friend Elizabeth Needs of Bridgewater.

Elizabeth was born on Feb. 28, 1923 in Needham, daughter of the late Robert G. and Anne (Moffett) Appleby.

She graduated from Needham High School and would go on to further her education by graduating from Burdett College and later Hickock Secretarial School.

Betty worked for New England Mutual Insurance in high school and later went on to work for Fidelity Mutual in Wellesley, MA until retiring in 1970. Two years before retiring she married the love of her life Albert Boyden in 1968. Betty will be forever known as an elegant and well organized, kind person. Elizabeth enjoyed dancing and was an avid traveler as she and her husband Al traveled to many great places.
