JOHN FOLEY
John (Jack) Foley, 74, of 507 Prince George Street, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in ill-health for4 six months.
Born in Westernport, he was the son of the late William P. and Ellen (Hoban) Foley.
A retired supervisor of the CA Department, Celanese Fibers Company, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the Holy Name Society and a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus and Fourth Degree.
His wife, the late Mary Margaret "Mollie" (Creegan) Foley, died in November of 1966.
Surviving are a son, Lt. Colonel John J. Foley Jr., Security, Colo.; two daughters, Sister Mary Laurentia (OSU), Louisville, Ky.; and Mrs. C. Earl Humbertson, city.; a brother, Paul A. Foley, city; two sisters, Miss Genevieve C. Foley, Long Island, N.Y.; and Mrs. David Leibovici, Silver Spring, and 11 grandchildren.
The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited there today at 8 p.m. by the Holy Name Society and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Streib, Ronald Miller, J. Edward McMahon, Thomas E. Carroll, G. Louis Baker and Frank Florentine.
