Ruby Hatton Pence Arnott, of Mount Hope, West Virginia, widow of Sam H. Pence and Henry Arnott, departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 3 days. She was a daughter of the late John Logan and Isabel Harris Hatton born at Vortex, Kentucky on February 14, 1927. Ruby was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by one son, Logan Pence of Dayton, Ohio; three daughters, Linda Lilly of Prosperity, West Virginia, Mildred Crockett and husband Charles of Bena, Virginia and Christy Ward and husband Kenneth of Williamsburg, Virginia; two step daughters, Grace Arnott of Beckley, West Virginia and Jean Wendt of Florida; two special nephews, Denzil Hatton, Jr. and Bobby Joe Hatton and one special niece, Monell Patton; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great - great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sam H. Pence and Henry Arnott; her parents, Logan and Isabel Harris Hatton; her daughter, Genevieve Francis Bach;
her son - in - law, Hayward Lilly; three brothers, Denzil Hatton, Jack Hatton and Narville Hatton and five sisters, Myrtle Patton, Daisy Patton, Kathleen Brewer, Carrie Brewer and Carmie Napier. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
