Freddie Collins 77, of Switzer WV departed this life Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born February 22, 1936 at Chauncey, he was the son of the late William "Trap" and Mae (Fleming) Collins.Also preceding him in death were two brothers, William Collins Jr. and Johnny Collins as an infant, and the mother of his children Janet (Brewer) Collins.Survivors include two sons, Freddie "Mann" (Pam) Collins of Myrtle Beach SC and William "Winkle" (Carlos) Collins of Conway SC;Two daughters, Connie Collins of Switzer, and Veronica "Bo" (John) Auflick of Mechanicsburg OH;Four brothers Ralph, David and Larry "Midge" Collins of Switzer WV and Chester "Checko" Collins of Grantsville WV;Two sisters Shelby Slutz of Columbus OH, and Carolyn Sue Green of Dayton OH;Four grandchildren Joshua Ty Collins, Ashleigh (Bob) Barnette, Erica Collins, and Cody Kazee;One great-grandchild Allison Mariah Collins.Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, with Pastor Rodney Spears officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 6 to 9 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2013.
