CARRIE JO CLARK
1959 - 2013
Carrie Jo Clark, 54, of Boise passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Boise. Carrie was the eldest child of Jim and Betty Jo Clark. She was born in Boise and resided there for the majority of her life. Carrie graduated from Inglemoor High School in Bothell, Washington and studied for two years at Shoreline Community College, in Seattle, Washington.
Carrie played the piano and had the voice of an angel. She shared both with the world when she was chosen as a teenager to tour with America's Youth in Concert; performing in Carnegie Hall and across Europe, including at the Eiffel tower. Camping, fishing with her son, sewing, knitting, gardening and photography were just some of Carrie's many interests.
Carrie worked at Hewlett-Packard, the State of Idaho, Attorney General's Office and Manpower. Without a doubt, her favorite "job" of all was being Mom to Justin. "All that I am, is because of my Mom. You left so quickly. I miss you more than I could ever begin to say. God must have needed you someplace better. I want to be stubborn and say this world needed you more. You brought me into this world with embraced arms, you went peacefully in mine. I love you with all of the heart you gave me."
She is survived by her parents, Jim and Betty Jo Clark, son, Justin Clark, siblings Kimberly Welsh (Steve), Connie Clark-Schuur, Chris Clark (Kathy), nephews and niece, Nolan and Karmen Schuur, Josh and Adam Clark and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who will all miss her dearly.
Carrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carrie and Bird Bliss, Jr. and Ray and Marie Clark.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
A casual memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at the Idaho Botanical Garden at 7:30 p.m.
