Services held July 22, in Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Stephen Friedrich officiating. Arrangements were by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.

Don was born to Maurice and Ruth Holman. He was raised in Amarillo and was a graduate of Palo Duro High School. After high school, Don served his country proudly in the Air Force and was stationed at Beal Air Force in California for two years before returning home to Amarillo.

Don loved to travel and enjoyed going on cruises with his family. He also like to play bingo. Above all, Don loved his family and treasured the time he got to spend with them. He was a loving father, son, uncle and brother, and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded by his father, Maurice Holman, in 2001 and by a brother, little Maurice.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Holman of Amarillo; a son, Gary Don Holman and wife Theresa of Kaufman; four sisters, Nichole Krallman and husband Kevin, Konni Meyer, Karen Hicks and Faye Williams, all of Amarillo; a grandson, Conner Holman of Kaufman; a niece, Krista Peters and husband J.T. of Happy; five nephews, Klay Sims and wife Katie of Happy, Jack Sims and wife Carrie of Mobeetie, Ross and John Krallman of Amarillo and Dustin Hicks of Austin;
and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Justen, Kylee, Wesley and Austin.
