RESIDENT FOR
42 YEARS, DIES
Mrs. Dorothy M. Tayntor, 62,
of 16 Woodruff St., widow of
Harry L. Tayntor, died yesterday
in Cortland Memorial Hospital
A retired employee of the
Crescent Corset Company, she
had been a resident of the Cort-
land area for the past 42 years.
Mrs. Tayntor was born in the
town of Lyndon, N.Y., Sept 11,
1902, daughter of Harvey and
Leah Reynolds Martin.
Surviving are two brothers,
Benjamin F. Martin of Olean
and Almond H. Martin of Cort-
land; four sisters. Mrs. Adeline
Dayger and Mrs. Viola Edwards
both of Cortland, Mrs. Frances
Austin of Binghamton and Mrs.
Mary Belle Higby of Little Gen-
essee, N.Y.; several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will he held
Saturday at 2 p.m. at Earle W.
Wright Funeral Home, the Rev.
Joseph A. DeGroote officiating.
Interment will be in Cortland
Rural Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday eve-
ning from 7 to 9 p.m. at the fu-
neral home. Memorial contribu-
tions may be made to the Amer-
can Cancer Society.
