GUS ANDERSON CALLED IN DEATH
Former Trustee of Brandywine Township
Was a Son of the Late Craig Anderson.
BORN AND REARED IN COUNTY

Charles A. Anderson died Sunday at his home in Irvington. The funeral will tak[e] place Tuesday at 1:30 at the family home. Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Cora Anerson.

Mr. Anderson spent much of his life in Brandywine township where he conducted a grain business. He served as trustee of Brandywine township from 1919 to 1923. Interment will take place in Asbury cemetery near Morristown.

Mr. Anderson was generally known as Gus Anderson and was a member of one of the old families of Hancock county the sin of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Anderson, whose home was on the Hancock-Shelby county line, northeast of Morristown. Two brothers, Roscoe and Alonzo, are deceased. Craig Anderson, the father, was noted for his physical strength throughout his community and his unexpected death will be recalled be older residents of Blue River township. He was driving to Morristown in an open buggy of the period and when near the old Hargrove church was stricken with apoplexy. Roscoe Anderson was for many years a teacher in the district schools. Alonzo was with the Wolf Mills and later in business for himself in Indianapolis; and Gus associated with the late Charles Patten in the grain elevator business he continued with Mr. Patten's widow until about a year ago. He had lived in Irvington for several years. His age was 68.
