He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Pulp, Sulphite and Paperworkers Union Local 909 and a member of St. Peter's Church, Plattsburgh, NY. He owned and operated Guimond's Barber Shop for 10 years until 1944, at which time he went to work for Imperial Wallpaper Co. for 31 years until his retirement in 1975.
