Kimberly "Kim" Ann Long, 38, died June 19, 2007 at her home in McPherson. She was born March 3, 1969 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Willie D. and Charlotte L. Wiest Patterson. She was a graduate of Nickerson High School and had her Associates Degree in Accounting from Hutchinson Community College. A resident of McPherson for 13 years, she had previously lived in Hutchinson. She worked for Alliance Insurance, McPherson.
Survivors include her father, Willie, Inman, her mother, Charlotte Giles, Hutchinson, her husband Scott Likins, McPherson, 2 daughters, Aimee Patterson and Amanda Long both of Hutchinson, one brother, Douglas R. Patterson, Medora, and 2 sisters, Sheila Smith, Independence, KS and Sheri Brinkley, Dodge City, and her mother and father in-law, LeRoy and Sharon Likins, McPherson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mike Burns presiding. Cremation will follow the funeral ceremony. Visitation will be held from 1-9PM Saturday, with the family present from 3-5PM that afternoon, and from 1-9PM Sunday, all at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the Children's Education Fund, both in care of the funeral home.
