Gracie Delma Guilliams Young, 87, of 7568 Virginia Ave., Bassett, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
She was born June 11, 1914, in Ferrum, a daughter of George Ira Guilliams and Mary Sigmon Guilliams. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Etta Hudson, Mildred Doss, Ruby Guilliams, Gertrude Watkins and Carrie Richardson; four brothers, Herman, Charles, William and Urye Guilliams.
A homemaker, she was a member of Fort Trial Christian Church since 1955.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, George Young of Bassett; a daughter, Virginia Cobler of Spencer; two sons, Robert Young of Hillsville and Paul Young of Bassett; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fort Trial Christian Church with the Rev. Marshall McCrickett and Minister Lawrence Harris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the church.
