She received her formal education in the public schools of Charleston County.
She did domestic work for many years.
She was a member of Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Alcolu, SC and was a member of the Usher Board.
Survivors are two daughters: Dorothea Bell (James) of Sumter, SC and Thelma Lewis Harrison of Silver, SC; three sons: Michael Lewis of the home, Oliver (Julie) Ramsey, Greenville, SC and Lee Ernest Ramsey of Alcolu, SC; two additional daughters-in-law: Shirley A. Lewis and Alice C. Lewis both of Manning, SC; a special son-in-law, Herbert Bell, Jr. of Sumter, SC; 17 grandchildren.
Celebratory services: Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. James Hudley, paster, presiding, Rev. William J. Frierson, Sr., Eulogist, Rev. Dr. Gloria Williams and Rev. Constance Lane assisting.
