MALAKOFF - Graveside serv. ices for Michael Heryla, Malakoff, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinidad Cemetery under direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff. Mr. Heryla died Nov. 13 in a
Malakoff nursing home. He was born July 17, 1916, in Gilberton, Pa., to the late Roman and Pauline Heryla. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross and a Purple Heart. He lived in Dallas where he retired from the Postal Service in the 1980s. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Pleasant Oaks Gem and Mineral Club. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen; and brothers, Johnny, Raymond and Arthur.Survivors include his wife, Faye Stanfield Heryla; sisters, Anne and Mary; brothers, Harry, Peter and Wasil; nieces, nephews and cousins. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
