The college educated Cum Posey was the resourceful organizer and co-owner of the Homestead Grays baseball team. The Grays were located in the mill town of Homestead, PA just southwest of Pittsburgh. Posey's Homestead Grays remain one of the great dynasties in sports history fielding powerhouse teams in the 1920s, the early 1930s, and from 1937-45 winning nine straight Negro national League pennants.
