John David Layton, age 52, of rural Goodman, MO died (from heart attack) on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his home in Goodman, MO. Mr. Layton was born in Monett, MO on Monday, June 19, 1961. He was the son of Benjamin Sr. and Helen (Fenske) Layton. Mr. Layton was in the construction business as a builder.
Surviving are: his wife, Lisa Hamby Layton of the home; three sons, Kody Layton of Goodman, MO, William Layton of Pineville, MO and John John Layton of Anderson, MO; two sisters, Mary M. Blevins of Pierce City, MO and Tonette M. Munson of Joplin, MO; eight brothers, Ben Layton of Pierce City, MO, Rodney Layton of Carthage, MO, Edwin Layton of Monett, MO, Bruce Layton of Diamond, MO, Michael Layton of Joplin, MO, Thomas Layton of Broken Arrow, OK, Timothy Layton of Wentworth, MO and Douglas Layton of Monett, MO; and three grandchildren.
