In these notes last week it was reported that Mr. Kean, father of Mrs. Lowell wells, was critically ill. He passed away the morning of November 8. The funeral was at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dawson Friday morning. Sincere sympathy is extended to Mrs. Kean, Mr. and Mrs. Wells and others of the family. Mr. Kean had reached the age of 89.

Survivors: wife,Anna, Sabetha; sons John, Carroll, Iowa; William C., Peru; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Kuster, Persia, Iowa; Mrs. Helen Wells, Sabetha, Kan.; Mrs. Marie Conn, Los Alamos, N. M.; Mrs. Virginia Moran, Jamestown, N. D. ; brothers, Jerry Kean, Joseph Kean; sisters, Sister Mary David Kean, Omaha; Mrs. Hanna Turnaitis, Omaha; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dawson. The Rev. Nicholas Baker and Father Placidas Kieffer. St. Mary's Cemetery, Dawson. Rosary, 7:30 p.m. Thursday at church.
