Marjorie Jordan Bell

Marjorie Jordan Bell, 85, a resident of Pensacola, FL was born in Bascom, FL to Onnie and Verna Jordan. She stepped into the light of God's loving presence on Monday, October 10, 2022.

Marjorie was the youngest of five siblings. She cherished fond memories of growing up on her family farm and valued the importance of honesty and hard work. She was raised to always do her best and to leave something better than how she found it and in turn, taught those life lessons to her children. Marjorie was a graduate of Malone High School in Malone, FL. During her formative high school years, she enjoyed participating in the high school marching band, playing the trumpet, traveling to band competitions, and cheerleading for the Malone Tigers basketball team. She was an exemplary mother and homemaker. Marjorie was an excellent baker and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Quality family time was very important to her. Marjorie also loved nature and spending time outdoors. Creating and maintaining her beautiful yard brought her much joy. Marjorie had a steadfast faith in God. She was a member of Olive Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL for the past fifty years. Over the course of that time, she enjoyed many activities with her church friends and family. Marjorie completed a college certification course in floral design and enjoyed oil and watercolor painting. Later in life, she served as the church receptionist at Olive Baptist Church in a full-time capacity for several years. The family gives all her caregivers at The Residence - Covenant Care, Pensacola, FL and everyone else that cared for Marjorie their deepest gratitude.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Fred A. Bell; her father, Onnie Jordan; her mother, Verna Jordan; brother, Raymond Jordan; brother, Grady Jordan; sister, Myrle Herring; and brother, Doyle Patterson "Pat" Jordan.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Warren (Harley), Emory Bell (Bonnie) and Linda Lee Padgett (Barry); her grandchildren, Melissa L. Kozakiewicz (Jordan), Stephanie Biggs, Phillip Bell (Kristin), Elizabeth Anne Bell Kirk (Jordan), Rachel Bell Scarbrough, Alexander Jordan Scarbrough, Martin Padgett, Grahame Padgett, Rebecca Waldrop and Sarah Warren; five great grandchildren; four sisters-in-laws, Angenette Jordan of Malone, FL, Melda Jordan of Tallahassee, FL, Veneeda Jordan of Bascom, FL, and Lou Lanier of Mountain Brook, AL; two brothers-in-laws, William Bell (Kandy) of Corpus Christi, TX and Robert Bell (Lisa) of Milton, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 9:00am until the Funeral Service to begin at 10:00am Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Olive Baptist Church, with Dr. Ted Traylor officiating and Dr. Leo Day, soloist. Graveside Service will be held 2:30pm Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Hickory Grove Cemetery, 5787 Grove Rd., Bascom, FL 32423.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Olive Baptist Church, 1836 E. Olive Rd., Pensacola, FL 32514.
