Charles "Toby" Baca, 69, of Natrona Heights, lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at home with his loved ones at his side. He was born October 9, 1943, in Leadville, Colorado, the son of the late Tobias and Ernestine Naranjo Baca. Toby was a veteran of the US Navy serving from October of 1960 to October of 1964. He retired from the US Department of Labor as a MSHA Inspector after 31 years of service. Toby was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, the VFW Post 894 in Natrona Heights and the American Legion Post 48 in Natrona. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Toby is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Medina Baca, his children, Charles Baca of Austin, Tx., James Baca of Cranberry Twp., and Charlene (Mike) Malecki of Buffalo Twp., his grandchildren, Jessica Baca and Michael, Aaron and David Malecki, his sisters, Maria "Henrietta" (Gilbert) Martinez of Denver, Colorado, Lucy (Don) Madrid of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Priscilla Lucero of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Virginia Valle of Del Norte, Colorado and Valerie (Leroy) Atencio of Del Norte, Colorado, several nieces and nephews and by his wonderful neighbors and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jake and Leroy Baca.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights with his pastor the Rev. James Mazurek as celebrant. Burial will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc. Natrona Heights.
