Mrs. Faye Ford, 84, of Farwell, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1920, in Bronte, Texas, to W.H. and Viola McKown.
She married Uvon Darris Ford on April 26, 1940, in Norton, Texas. They moved to Farwell in 1956 where she helped her husband on the farm and took care of her family. She was a member of Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church in Farwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Barthell Ford; two brothers, Bill and Aubrey McKown; and two sisters, Louise Stubblefield and Altha Carter.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Ford of Farwell; a grandson, Kerry Ford of Lubbock; a granddaughter, Darrisa Tunnell (and husband, Rusty) of Lubbock; a great-granddaughter, Kristin Tunnell (Travis) of Farwell; a great-grandson, Shay Ford of Farwell; and a great-great-grandson, Mason Ketcherside of Farwell.
The Rev. Scott Spitsberg will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.
Pallbearers are Gaylen, Jason, and Colton Sudderth, Shay Ford, and Travis Tunnell.
Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch or the Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church.
