Cecil Green Jr. 86 of Olney, Ill passed away on Wednesday, July 17 in Olney.

He was born on November 15, 1926 in Providence to Cecil and Elsie Green.

Cecil attended Bob Jones University and Asbury Seminary and was a missionary with the General Baptist International Missions for 32 years in Guam, Chi Chi Jima, Saipan and in the Philippines for 26 of those years.

Cecil was a current member of the Grave Evangelical Church in Olney, a member of the Terrace Parke General Baptist Church in Evansville, a member of the Union and Evansville Association of Ministers and was converted at the Providence General Baptist Church.

He served in the Army during WW II.

He is survived by his wife Betty Ann Green of Olney, a son, Paul and wife Laurel Green of Whittier Ca., three daughters Joyce and husband Gene Koker of Newburgh, In, Cheryl and husband Bob White of Olney, Il and Sue and husband Chris Hortin of Crawfordsville, IN. Nine grandchildren, a brother John W. Green of Providence, and a sister Mary Armstrong of Cotopaxi, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sistersBetty Holloman, Maudell Oakley and Sandra Baxla.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20 at 2 PM at the General Baptist Church in Providence with interment at White Oak Cemetery. Visitation is on Saturday from noon to service time at the church. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the General Baptist International Missions to the Philippines.
