Garrick Brown age 44, affectionately known as "Baldy" was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2013. Garrick was born on December 2, 1968. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School Class of 1987.
Garrick was employed by several companies within the community including, C and J Industrial and the Radisson Star Plaza Theatre. Garrick enjoyed fishing, grilling, music and quality time with his family and friends. He was the heart of the east side neighborhood.
Garrick was preceded in death by his father, Willie Brown, Jr; brother, Troy Brown, Sr; grandfathers, Houston Evans and Willie Brown, Sr; grandmothers, Marguerite Gooden and Gertrude Rogers.
He leaves to cherish memories of his life, loving mother Dorothy Evans and daughter Jessica Peoples, both of Gary, IN; two brothers, Derrick (Juanita Taylor) and his twin, Errick (Tia Brown), both of Indianapolis, IN; five sisters, Margie Morales of Indianapolis, IN; Della Adeshina, Leontyne Johnson, Juanita Brown and Anjolas Evans, all of Gary, IN. He also leaves one aunt and one uncle, and a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-neices, cousins, and friends.
Garrick will be greatly missed by favorite nephew Avery Medlock; special friends, Bobbie Polk, Reginald Crisler and Anthony Medlock; special cousins, Cedric Bates and Kevin Bates, all of Gary, IN.
Visitation 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, with funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, Indiana; Reverend Bernard Smith, officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park. ~
