Viola H. Mackey, 84, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home in Mansfield, Ohio. Born July 8, 1921, in Oak Harbor, to John and Ella (Guth) Madison. She retired from USCO Services in 1981. She enjoyed growing violets, yard work, and needlework.
She is survived by a son, Lyle Mackey of Mansfield; two grandsons, Jeff Mackey of Columbus and Kent Mackey of Cincinnati; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law whom she cherished deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George ?Roger? Mackey, five brothers, and three sisters.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Gerner, Wolf, Brossia and Marsh Funeral Home in Port Clinton, conducted by Rev. Ron Huff. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date in LaCarpe Cemetery. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with local arrangements.
