Mary Dell Barber, 72, of Greenfield, died Thursday at Greenfield Area Medical Center.
Born July 22, 1916, in Wamsleyville, she was the daughter of Raymond Thomas and Anna Blanche Dalton Whitley
Her husband, John W. Barber, to whom she was married March 25, 1937, survives.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
She was retired from the U. S. Shoe Corporation.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Georgia Barber of Leesburg and John Archie and Bonnie Barber of Greenfield; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Graves and Mrs. Tom (Kathleen) Gilfillan, both of Chillicothe and Mrs. Marlin (Linda) Long of Frankfort; five sisters, Thelma May of Hillsboro, Mrs. Clayton (Beatrice) Partlow of Bainbridge, Mrs. James (Nellie) Watkins of Greenfield, Mrs. Bernard (Beulah Keaton of Xenia and Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Cross of Bainbridge; a brother, Raymond Whitley Jr. of Bainbridge; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at the Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Noah Cox officiating.
Burial followed in South Salem Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Greenfield Area Christian Center.
