He was a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church, faithfully attending until recent months. He was a retired account executive with Paine Webber, a member of Colonial Country Club since 1967 and a volunteer for the St. Jude FedEx Golf Tournament for 35 years.
Visitation for Mr. Alder will be tonight from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Swatzell of Johnson City, TN, three nephews; Louis Alder, Rick Jones and Randy Jones, one niece; Janet Maynard, and several Godchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of donor's choice.
