Joseph "Joey" Newton Booth, 56, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on July 15, 2013. He was born December 11, 1956 in El Paso, Texas, to Bernard Joseph Ward Booth and Reta Joyce Grissom Booth.

Joseph was a church member of Gruene United Methodist Church in Gruene, Texas, where he attended every Sunday. He was a retired architect and had attended UTEP and TSTI in Waco, Texas.

He enjoyed leather working, playing with his grandchildren, playing the trombone and listening to music. He enjoyed cooking, eating, being outside and watching the Texas Rangers play baseball. He loved his family very much and was especially proud of his children. They were his number one joy in life.

He is survived by his daughters, Jillian Jackson and Justine Ramon; son, Jolan Booth; father, Bernard Joseph Ward Booth; sister, Joni Davis; brother, Jimmy Kirk Booth; grandchildren, Aleena Ramon and Daeja Jackson; niece, Francine Marie Kennedy-Booth; nephews, Matthew L. Davis and Mitchell L. Davis; and other extended family.

Joseph was preceded by his mother, Reta Joyce Booth.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in De Leon, Texas. Graveside services followed in Downing Cemetery. Brother Daniel Harper officiated the services.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 or to the Downing Cemetery Association at 501 Lesley Lane, Comanche, 76442, in memory of Joseph.
