Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., today, Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Gary died at 9:17 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Mrs. Gary was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of the Jennings High School, class of 1972. Peggy loved her family, loved shopping with friends, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was just named Class of 1972 prom queen this year of the "prom that never was", and she loved sports. To say she was an active member of the Quarterback Club is a huge understatement. When she took on a job she brought it to another level. She never wanted credit for anything she did. The Quarterback Club can enjoy their success partly due to her tirelessness. She was such an inspiration to so many. Mrs. Gary was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Gary, one daughter, Shanny Hart and husband Brad of Monroe; two sons, Shawn Gary and wife Beth of Conroe, TX, Chase Gary and wife Casey of Lake Charles; her mother, Ila Dean Istre Breaux; one sister, Judy Breaux Turner of Atlanta, TX; and six grandchildren, Mason Hart, Mallory Hart, Molly Kate Hart, Cooper Gary, Peyton Gary and Carter Gary.

Mrs. Gary is preceded in death by her father, Cleveland "Frechie" Breaux.
