Charlotte Elizabeth Walters passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at the age of 89. She was surrounded by loved ones and in the loving care of Hospice of the Valley. Charlotte is survived by daughters, Judith Ann Fullmer (Gary), Patricia Lee Kaczynski (Richard), daughters-in-law, Carol Walters and Lisa Walters; grandchildren, Matthew Frketich (Carolyn), Beth Entringer (Keith), Scott Kaczynski (Jodi), Greg Kaczynski, Michael Walters (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Kristen Entringer, Alex Entringer, Kathryn Frketich, Jamie Frketich, Maddie Walters and Katie Walters. She is predeceased by her sons, James William Walters and William John Walters.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 9, 1923, the third of five children of John and Elizabeth Brown. Charlotte moved to Phoenix, Arizona 33 years ago and enjoyed a wonderful career at Honeywell. Her favorite hobbies were family, movies, gardening, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play and puzzles. Especially puzzles. McDonald's hot fudge sundaes and Long John Silver's fish were favorites as well. Number one in Charlotte's heart was always her family. She was the heart of her family. Everyone who met Charlotte was a better person for knowing her, a true angel on Earth.
Visitation for Charlotte will be held at Best Funeral Services Chapel at 501 E. Dunlap Avenue from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, Saturday, July 20, 2013. Catholic mass to follow at St. Joan of Arc Church, 3801 E. Greenway Road at 9:30am. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Avondale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in the name of Charlotte Walters.
