There were only three (3) graves marked with names on the stones. Other just had a plain stone with no markings. Look at the scan list for other relatives buried in this location. NOTICE THE BIRTH DATE. I believe this to be incorrect. All of the census and Civil War records reflects Hugh as being born in 1839. However as he grew older the census reflected Hugh as being born in 1832. The hand on the rock for his headstone belongs to Christopher Leonard Thorne. Hugh GGGrandson. He was the one who discovered Hugh's headstone. Hugh most likely died at Barn, Mercer County, West Virginia. However Barn is not listed on the selections list for towns in Mercer County; therefore I selected Egeria which is the closest to the Barn township. This photo was taken in July 2010 by Arthur L.
