Gloria White Hackett, LPN, 62, of Wonder Lake passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at her home, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gloria was born Sept. 30, 1949, in Elgin. She was a lifelong resident of the Carpentersville-Wonder Lake areas. Gloria was a 1967 graduate of Irving Crown High School. She earned her degree in nursing. Currently, she was working as a Quality Analyst for Telephonic Nurse Triage.
Survivors include her children, Ryan Zenor, Rachel Washburn and William Hackett; her grandchildren, Joseph, Grace and Sophia; her mother, Phyllis Gonzalez White; a brother, Alan (Sylvia) White; her sister, Patricia (James) Doyle; her nephew, Adam; and her nieces, Deanna and Korrin.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Walter William White; her husband, William Hackett; and a brother, William White.
Family and friends will gather for a graveside funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in the Dundee Township East Cemetery. The Rev. John Bjorkman will officiate.
