Brandon Lee Collins

Lincolnton, Georgia- Brandon Lee Collins, 21, formerly of Jesup and Thomson took the hands of Jesus and entered into Heaven on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was the beloved son of Lee and Renee Collins.

Despite the numerous challenges Brandon faced, he took the gifts God gave him and enjoyed life, laughing each day and loving those around him. Brandon loved Sesame Street, chocolate milk, riding backwards in his wheelchair, and giving and receiving hugs and kisses. Throughout his life, his light shone brightly for all to see as an example of innocence, joy, and unconditional love. He will be terribly missed on earth while he delights in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Brandon was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Alfred E. Lehman, and paternal grandfather, Glynn E. Collins. Survivors include maternal grandmother, Carol Lehman Wolcott, and paternal grandmother, Jerri Guthrie Collins, Uncles and Aunts Alan and Christy Thurston, Kipp and Jenny Collins, and Julie Collins Roberson as well as several cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday at Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, Georgia.
